Department of Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge and Oral Implantology

  • The Department deals with restoration of missing tooth & other parts of body in head and neck region.
  • The department is having separate undergraduate, post-graduate clinical and laboratory sections. The department is fully equipped to deal with basic as well as advanced treatment modalities in prosthodontics.
  • Department is providing free removable prosthesis for geriatric patients including complete dentures.
  • Maxillofacial reconstruction in collaboration with various Oncology Centers.
  • The Department has successfully restored many Hemi-mandibulectomy, Maxillectomy, Auricular and Ocular defects.
  • CAD-CAM Advanced Digital Lab - It is the first Institution in North India to have an in-house CAD-CAM lab where more than 300 metal free restorations are fabricated per month

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME

  • The first two years of undergraduate preclinical training includes basics of material science, various laboratory procedures required for patient management in the subsequent years.
  • Students are trained with lectures supported with audiovisual aids, group discussions and demonstration projected on large screen.
  • Clinical training starts from the third year onwards and is completed upon completion of the course.

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME

  • In the three-year Post graduate Program in Prosthodontics, students will be trained in all phases of oral rehabilitative procedures including implant placement.
